Meet the Team

I bring more than 20 years of experience in childcare. My goal is to make the nursery experience special for every child and family, supporting children in all areas of learning and helping them grow. I always make an effort to engage with the children whenever I can. I love incorporating natural elements like flowers, leaves, herbs, and sticks to enrich the children's learning experiences. I am environmentally conscious and try to be as sustainable as possible, reusing all the packaging that comes into the nursery. I enjoy watching children use their imagination to create. I take delight in inspiring my team with great ideas for activities. I cultivate a calm environment for children and their families while fostering a positive atmosphere for staff. I look forward to welcoming you and your family to our nursery.

Hi my name is Lucy
I have been working in childcare for over 18 and a half years, and during that time I have been lucky enough to gain experience in a variety of roles, including Health and Safety Officer, Quality Advisor, Room Leader, Deputy Manager and Nursery Manager. I originally joined Dragonflies looking for a new opportunity and a role where I could continue doing what I love most working with children, supporting families and being part of a team that helps children learn, grow and thrive. Since joining Dragonflies, I have loved getting to know all of the wonderful children, their families and our amazing staff team. I have been fortunate enough to grow within the nursery, and in October I was incredibly proud to take over as Nursery Manager. Having previously been a Nursery Manager, I am passionate about creating a warm, safe and welcoming environment where every child feels happy, valued and supported. I also believe that building strong relationships with our families is such an important part of what we do. I am so proud to be part of the Dragonflies family and feel excited about the future of the nursery. I look forward to continuing to work closely with our children, families and staff as we grow and make Dragonflies the best place it can be!

My name is Nicola. I have over 30 years of experience in childcare. I'm Level 3 qualified, and I also have qualifications as a Teaching assistant and a qualified counsellor. I have a real interest in helping children learn to read and reading stories to them. I help develop their language and sounds. I have volunteered within the Local authority, helping adults and very young children learn to read, and I have often volunteered in local schools to help children read. I love my role at Oru as a lunchtime assistant, being able to support in all the rooms, to be with all the babies and toddlers and my team. I also work as a club manager for breakfast and after-school club in a local primary school.

My name is Holly, and I have been working in Early Years for the past four years. I have always had a strong passion for working with children and truly love every aspect of my role.
I am currently based in the babies’ room, where I enjoy supporting children in their earliest stages of development. However, I also have experience working across the full 0–5 age range, which has given me a well-rounded understanding of children’s needs at different stages of their early learning journey.

Hi, my name is Gracie, and my childcare journey began at the age of 14 when I started studying Child Development. From the very beginning, I fell in love with the subject, which led me to complete both my Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. I have now been working in nursery settings for eight years.
Childcare has always been a passion of mine, even from a young age. I loved looking after my dolls and would often draw my own dream nurseries, which sparked my early interest in caring for children. Today, I find great joy in supporting each individual child to thrive in their own unique way, while building warm, caring bonds with both the children and their wonderful families.

Hello, my name is Jacky Agutter, and I have two adult daughters of my own. I have worked with children aged 3–5 for the past 26 years, with 18 of those years spent working in a primary school setting. I am passionate about helping children grow in confidence, encouraging them to use their voices, and supporting them to feel happy and proud of everything they achieve. I particularly love teaching children how to write their name — that very first piece of writing your child brings home is such a special moment. I am especially passionate about teaching phonics, as there is nothing quite like seeing a child’s face light up when they begin to recognise letters and read words for the first time. My promise to you is that while your child is in my care, they will learn, develop independence, receive a cuddle every day (if they would like one), and, most importantly, have lots and lots of fun.

My name is Melina and I am currently studying at college while gaining hands-on experience in the early years industry. I am mainly based in the Baby Room at Dragonflies ORU, where I support young children in their daily routines, learning, and development. I particularly enjoy planning and building engaging activities that help children develop new skills, confidence, and independence. I am passionate about creating a safe and nurturing environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to learn through play. I am always eager to develop my skills further and grow within the childcare profession. Dragonflies makes me feel welcomed and supported in every way possible.

Hi, my name is Monica.
My experience in childcare began in my home country, where I worked with a child with special educational needs in a school setting. I also volunteered with the Scouts and provided ad-hoc babysitting for various families.
After moving to England, I worked in a nursery, where I completed my Level 2 qualification in childcare. I have also worked as a nanny, supporting children in their daily routines, learning, and development.
I genuinely love working with children and find great joy in helping them grow, build confidence, and discover their own unique way to shine.

My name is Heather, I am a level 3 qualified early years educator.
I have worked with children in nurseries and schools since the age of 18 and have 2 boys of my own, one of which is also in dragonflies!
I enjoy working with the babies, comforting them, supporting them and celebrating all their progress one small baby step at a time.

Hi there! I’m Becca, and I’ve spent 10 years in childcare, working with all age groups. As the nursery SENDCO, I provide one-to-one support for children and collaborate with other professionals to help them achieve their developmental milestones.

Hi, my name is Anna. I’m a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner with a strong commitment to supporting children’s development during their most important years. I take pride in creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child feels valued, supported and guided to reach their full potential.
